What labs ask us first.

Do we have to handle the physician orders?
No. Prescriptive authority is built into the platform. Our independent, 50-state licensed physician network asynchronously reviews each consumer's intake and signs a compliant electronic requisition — the same standing-order mechanism the national labs use for their consumer lines. Your lab does nothing on the ordering side.
How do you handle states like New York, New Jersey, and Rhode Island?
Those states tightly restrict direct-access testing. Our state-by-state rules engine geofences the menu, routes specimens to appropriately permitted labs, and suppresses tests a given state doesn't allow. New York is configured as a bespoke case. This is exactly the kind of compliance work we take off your plate.
What about FDA regulation of lab-developed tests?
A March 2025 federal court vacated the FDA's 2024 LDT rule, and the FDA formally rescinded it in September 2025 — reverting to the prior CLIA framework. As of 2026, high-complexity labs can continue offering LDTs without the device-regulation overhang, which is a tailwind for a lab-driven DTC menu. We monitor the space for any renewed legislation.
Will this cannibalize our existing business?
